Indian YouTuber Armaan Malik Summoned to Court for Having Two Marriages
According to Indian media reports, the 37-year-old YouTuber, who was part of Bigg Boss (OTT) 3, has been summoned by the Patiala Court on charges of multiple marriages and hurting religious sentiments.
Armaan Malik and his two wives, Payal and Kritika Malik, have landed in legal trouble. The Patiala Court has summoned them in two separate cases and issued notices for all three to appear on September 2.
The court summons were issued based on a petition filed by Davinder Rajput. It is alleged that Armaan Malik has not only two but four marriages, which is a violation of the Hindu Marriage Act, which allows only one marriage.
In another petition, Armaan and Payal have been accused of hurting religious sentiments. It is stated that Payal portrayed the form of a Hindu goddess in an Instagram post, which sparked anger among the public.
Regarding the video, Armaan Malik and Payal Malik have publicly apologized. Payal reportedly performed religious rituals, including cleaning a temple. Later, the couple went to Haridwar and sought forgiveness at the Niranjani Akhara. During this time, Payal Malik’s health deteriorated, and she had to be admitted to a hospital.
