Widespread Tsunami Warnings Across the Pacific
The earthquake, centered off Russia’s eastern Kamchatka Peninsula, triggered tsunami warnings across the Pacific Ocean, prompting evacuations in multiple countries. Coastal areas in Russia’s Far East were heavily impacted, while Japan, Hawaii, the Philippines, Indonesia, and even Ecuador have issued warnings and initiated precautionary measures.
Authorities are urging residents in affected areas to remain vigilant and follow evacuation protocols as the situation develops.
