Major General (R) Ijaz Amjad is an openly declared Qadiani. It is heard that after retirement, he has amassed billions through property. It is said that after being killed in a helicopter crash, Iftikhar Janjua’s burial took place in the Qadianis’ sacred cemetery, “Bahishti Maqbara,” in Rabwah, Chiniot.

Before Qamar Javed Bajwa’s appointment as Army Chief, the late Professor Sajid Mir, an ally of the Muslim League-Nawaz and the head of the central Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith, had expressed reservations about it in a video statement. Former bureaucrat and advocate of Khilafat, Orya Maqbool Jan, narrated a dream in which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself handed the appointment file to General Bajwa, and so on.
Nawaz Sharif has always been a strong advocate of sidelining the Kashmir issue to build good relations with India. After Bajwa became Army Chief, the issue of changing the oath of Khatm-e-Nabuwat (Finality of Prophethood) came to the forefront.
Then, when Imran Khan and Bajwa were on the same page, despite extremely strained relations with India, the “Kartarpur Corridor” was constructed on an emergency basis and became operational on November 9, 2018.
According to those in the know, the next phase involved building a similar “visa-free pilgrimage corridor” to Qadian on the other side. To ensure Modi’s victory in the elections, the Indian pilot Abhinandan, captured on February 27, 2019, was handed over to India unconditionally. Then, on August 5, 2019, when India annexed Kashmir, it was decided to protest by standing in the sun for half an hour every Friday.
It is also said that differences over the timing of initiating the “Qadian Corridor” initially caused the “page to tear.” Bajwa wanted to complete it during his tenure, while Khan was in favor of starting it after securing a two-thirds majority in the next election, rather than immediately. Then, the ego and stubbornness on both sides pushed matters to a point of no return. The offer of a “lifetime extension” to Bajwa also carried this message.
The story is very long… The point is simply this: Nawaz Sharif is not “so naive” as to blindly swallow a “fly he saw with his own eyes” on the guarantee of General (R) Ijaz Amjad.
