Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s official helicopter crashed during a rescue operation, 3 individuals martyred
During a mission to rescue people trapped in floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s official helicopter crashed.
According to the private TV channel Geo News, senior officials said that the helicopter crashed in Sokai near Chingei Banda for unknown reasons, and 3 individuals were martyred in the helicopter crash.
Earlier, during a mission to rescue people trapped in floods, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s official helicopter went missing. Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s official helicopter MI-17 went missing, the helicopter was going to Bajaur for relief activities, and the search for the helicopter is ongoing in Mohmand district.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur said that contact with the helicopter was lost in the airspace of Mohmand district, contact with the provincial government’s helicopter MI-17 was severed, the helicopter was carrying relief supplies to the affected area of Salarzai in Bajaur. He said that efforts are being made to establish contact with the helicopter. Instructions have been given to immediately send teams to the area, and the provincial government’s second helicopter is engaged in relief operations in Buner.
