Kasur: Suspect Involved in Indecent Acts Arrested in Injured Condition, DPO Muhammad Isa Khan Visits Victim’s Home
In the jurisdiction of Kasur’s A-Division police station, a suspect involved in indecent acts with a minor girl has been arrested in an injured condition. The suspect, identified as Nasir Watto, a resident of Okara and a laborer working on a construction site at Kharra Road, harassed a young girl playing in a street in Shah Inayat Colony three days ago.
According to police, after footage of the incident surfaced, District Police Officer (DPO) Kasur, Muhammad Isa Khan, took immediate notice and ordered the Station House Officer (SHO) of A-Division, Asif Javed, to arrest the suspect within 24 hours. SHO Asif Javed personally visited the victim’s home, obtained a complaint, and registered a case.
Last night, during an incident on Dhanpat Road, the suspect was apprehended by the public. Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene. In an attempt to evade arrest, the suspect brandished a pistol, but a bullet struck his private parts, injuring him. The police promptly took the injured suspect into custody and shifted him to District Headquarters Hospital, Kasur, where he is undergoing treatment.
DPO Muhammad Isa Khan visited the victim’s home, comforted the child by placing a hand on her head, and presented a bouquet of flowers. The victim’s family expressed gratitude to the DPO Kasur, Chief Minister Punjab, and Punjab Police for the swift delivery of justice.
A police spokesperson stated that, in line with the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, acts of sexual abuse or indecent behavior toward women and children will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and such offenders will be brought to justice.
