Justice Served: Lahore Police Eliminate Gang-Rape Suspects in Dramatic Encounter
In a heart-wrenching incident in Lahore’s Chuhang area, a Qari’s wife was subjected to gang rape in front of her husband. Following this brutality, Lahore police took swift action and killed two main suspects in an alleged police encounter, while the search for their other accomplices is still ongoing.
The victim’s husband, who teaches the Holy Quran at a mosque, stated in the FIR that on the night of July 30, around 8:30 PM, he was walking with his 18-year-old wife near fields in Shahpur Kanjran when three armed individuals approached them from behind and threatened them. The suspects were carrying an axe and a water pipe, using which they forced the couple into the fields.
According to the Qari, one of the attackers was approximately 17 to 18 years old, fair-skinned, and thin-built. The second was 24 to 25 years old, dark-complexioned, stocky, and short, wearing a shirt and jeans. The third was 27 to 28 years old, wheatish in complexion, and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
The suspects forcibly stripped the Qari and his wife and took turns raping the woman. The Qari said he watched this cruelty helplessly, unable to do anything. Later, the suspects called another person who arrived and raped the woman again. Tragically, the entire ordeal was recorded on video.
Following the incident, Lahore Police’s Crime Control Department (CCD) took immediate action and raided the hideout of the suspected culprits.
According to the police, during the raid, the suspects opened fire on the CCD team, resulting in one officer being injured. In retaliatory action, two main suspects, Avaiz and Irshad, were killed on the spot.
The police stated that these two suspects were directly involved in the incident and had crossed all limits of brutality. The police have cordoned off the area and initiated further operations to apprehend the remaining fugitive suspects
