India Boasting and General Asim Munir Response|The Intimidator Got Intimidated

In India these days, an alleged speech has caused an uproar in political and military circles. It is claimed that this speech was delivered by Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir in the United States, in which he said two sentences that have acted like pouring oil on fire for Indian media and official circles. According to Indian sources, General Asim Munir said:
“We are a nuclear-armed nation; if we feel we have no option left, we will take half the world with us.”
He further said, “We will not allow India to stop the water of the Indus River and our other rivers. If India builds a dam, we will destroy it with ten missiles. Alhamdulillah, we have no shortage of missiles. Kashmir is our jugular vein, and we are ready to do anything for it.”

Apparently, General Asim Munir’s statement carries a specific context. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has openly stated that Operation “Sindoor” has not ended but is only on “pause.” Modi, terming an attack on Pakistan as the “new normal,” even said in a public speech, “Eat bread and butter, or else my bullet is ready.”

However, last month, India made an announcement that rang alarm bells in the region. Indian authorities claimed they are developing a new version of their ballistic missile Agni-V, which, instead of nuclear warheads, is capable of carrying a heavy conventional “bunker-buster” warhead. This warhead is designed to destroy highly fortified underground military installations, missile silos, and nuclear assets. Developed under India’s Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), this missile is said to be capable of carrying a heavy warhead weighing between 7,500 to 8,000 kilograms, with the ability to penetrate 80 to 100 meters of underground concrete or rock. Its speed is reported to be between Mach 8 and Mach 20, making it nearly impervious to air defense systems.

Although the heavy warhead reduces its range to about 2,500 kilometers, this distance is sufficient to target any location in Pakistan. Indian media, calling it a “game-changer” in the concept of conventional warfare, claimed that India could neutralize Pakistan’s nuclear capability whenever it chooses, while maintaining its “no first nuclear use” policy.

Thus, the impression was given that Pakistan has no option left but to bow down.

However, General Asim Munir’s recent statements have turned this entire Indian narrative upside down. India, which was considering its new missile capability as the ultimate display of power, suddenly found itself in a defensive position after hearing a stern and unequivocal message. The result was that Indian media, the foreign office, and even political leaders were seen repeating the same refrain that “a field marshal” giving such threats is utterly wrong.

In reality, the balance of power in the region is not only tied to the number of weapons or technology but also to courage, determination, and clear messaging. In response to India’s recent aggressive preparations and dangerous intentions, General Asim Munir’s statement is not just a warning but also a declaration of resolve that Pakistan will not hesitate to go to any extent to defend its “jugular vein” and its resources.

Thus, it can be said that this time India tried to intimidate, but the response it received brought the color of fear to its own faces.
