He believes that in 10 years, students will have access to job opportunities that currently feel like ideas from a science fiction movie or novel.
During an interview, Sam Altman said that by 2035, university students might step out of the classroom and directly board a spacecraft.
He stated that graduating students will not only attend college but also embark on missions to explore the solar system as part of their jobs.
He further explained that these jobs will be entirely new and exciting, while also offering significantly higher salaries. In comparison, the jobs of the current era will seem dull.
He jokingly remarked that future workers might feel sorry for their elders who had to do boring tasks.

He said that a 22-year-old will easily adapt to new AI-based tools, but for a 62-year-old, transforming themselves could be challenging.
Sam Altman stated that the youth of the current era are the luckiest in history, entering a world where AI technology will assist in nearly every kind of work.
He said that the true power of AI lies in replacing existing jobs and creating entirely new ones.
He added that with GPT-5 and similar models, people will have the opportunity to run companies single-handedly, which previously required hundreds of employees to operate.
